Your horse will be given a program tailored to their needs /requirements. The water treadmill has benefits for muscle strengthening and low impact exercise. This can improve a range of motion and flexibility, while the cold-water spa boosts circulation, reduces inflammation, swelling and enhances healing. The salt room has benefits for any skin conditions as well as the respiratory conditions.

On arrival you will be greeted and shown where to park. Your horse will be unloaded and brought into the wash bay, where their feet will be picked out, legs washed and a nappy put on before going onto the machines. Once the session is over your horses legs will be washed off, and the nappy removed.

Your introductory session will last 45 minutes and any further sessions are 30 minutes long.

Yes, your horses’ comfort and safety are our main priority at all times. We take everything at your horses’ pace and ensure they are comfortable before we move on to the next stage. We allow extra time on your introductory session so your horse doesn’t feel rushed.

This is dependent on your availability and needs. We have horses that come daily as part of their rehab and we have horses that come once a week or fortnightly as part of a varied work program. Both see good results, just at different speeds.

We are open from 7:30am -5pm Monday to Friday. We are open on Bank Holidays (excluding Christmas and New Year)

We have appointments available most days and do our best to accommodate your needs. Our best availability is in the afternoons.

Yes, absolutely. We have day stables available for additional horses to stand in whilst waiting.

We are a walk-in service only, however, there are rest and rehabilitation yards on site that we work closely with. They may be able to accommodate you, depending on availability. Please contact us for more information.

Yes. All programmes at Longholes Equine Therapy Centre are customised, whether your horse requires rehabilitation, fitness work or specialist management. We work closely with owners and where appropriate vets and therapists.

We welcome a wide range of horses, from competition and performance horses to those requiring rest, rehabilitation or ongoing management. Each horse is assessed individually to ensure their needs can be met appropriately.
